As a cosmetic ingredient, benzoyl peroxide is only permitted in UV/LED cured or Liquid and Powder (L&P) nail products to assist the curing process.
In products which are not legally classified as cosmetics, such as acne and spot treatments, it can be used to keep pores clear and reduce bacteria on the skin which can lead to blackheads or spots, helping to improve the appearance of blemishes and support clearer-looking skin.
