Traces

By law, all cosmetic products must be safe. Every product must pass a thorough safety assessment by a qualified professional before it can be sold. This includes checking for even the tiniest traces of any impurities.

Thanks to modern science, we can now detect incredibly low levels of substances in products - sometimes just a few parts per billion. Occasionally, these tiny traces may include substances that are otherwise banned from being deliberately added. However, the law recognises that some traces are technically unavoidable, such as those that might naturally occur in raw materials or appear during manufacturing.

What matters most is that these traces are proven to be safe and not pose any risk to us at the tiny amounts at which they are present. Therefore, the safety assessments take them fully into account to ensure that just because the traces can be detected, it doesn’t mean they are harmful.
